Tiles of the Dead (update)

It's time for another quick update on the zombie tile set ...so here's a look at the latest room that I've completed:

So, with most of the rooms/corridors out of the way it's time to turn my attention to a few door assemblies/counters ...and here's the first door that I've completed (in this case an exterior door):

Note that I'm still playing around with different ways to assemble the doors at the moment, but the above example would go together something like this:

...possibly allowing it to be glued to a regular 25mm (round) miniature base - for added stability. However I've not decided on the final design yet (so any thoughts/comments would be more than welcome).

Dungeon Monthly (March 2013)

Here's this month's dungeon map (another little dungeon to cave transition piece):

Note that unnumbered versions of each of these maps (suitable for virtual tabletops) can also be found in the following G+ albums:

50 pixel per grid square album

70 pixel per grid square album

Tiles of the Dead (progress thus far)

It's been over two weeks since I last posted an example 'zombie tile' - and so I thought I would do something a little different for this week's update, and post an image that shows all of the tiles that I've completed to date:

I had originally planned to include three pages worth of tiles in this first set (which is roughly the amount of finished tiles shown in the above picture), however, I've come to realise that I need to do several variants* of the stair tiles in order to make different upstairs/downstairs configurations easier to create (note that the original stair tiles can be seen towards the bottom left of the picture, whereas the first 'variant' is pictured top right).

I've also decided to include a number of individual 'passage builder' tiles that will allow folks to assemble more complicated corridor shapes should they so desire - (shown by the empty squares on the bottom right).

Once all of that's completed, all I need to do is create several A-frame style door assemblies (similar in design to the Colony 19 doors), and probably some flat (2D) door tokens too :)

* I've chosen to do variants rather than wholly new tiles, so that the carpet pattern will be consistent no matter which pairing of tiles you decide to use.

GM's Day

I almost forgot that today was GM's day ...but since I just about managed to remember in time, I thought I'd put something on sale for just $1.

So if you wanted to get your GM an inexpensive gift (for either the real or virtual tabletop) then you can get all of the maps from the Into the Wilderness bundle for just one $1 for the rest of today.

That's 5 wilderness maps for $1

And as a little gift from myself to other GMs out there, HERE is a link that will allow you to get the Age of Shadow Campaign Guide for free (today only):

Have a great day!

Edit: I forgot to mention (for folks who are new to the blog etc.), that pdf version of the Age of Shadow core rule book is also available for free on RPGNow & DriveThruRPG.
